THE HURRICANE PREDICTORS

Abstract:
This meteorology activity compares annual rainfall in the West Sahel to hurricane activity in the Atlantic Ocean. Students will decide if rainfall averages- below normal, average, or above average, is a valid indicator of hurricane activity in the Atlantic, and write a paragraph to defend their position on if they feel that rainfall in Africa is an indicator of hurricane activity in the Atlantic.
